Our third Canadian Astrology Conference received a lot of positive feedback, providing momentum to continue our quest to offer an informal platform for new speakers to present their material.
The following speakers presented their very unique and original lectures at CAC 2019.
Wendy Guy
Like any good card-carrying Gemini rising, Wendy Guy has juggled many hats at various times over the almost 50 years since she discovered and fell in love with astrology: astrological counsellor, teacher, mentor, writer, lecturer and webmaster. She is a long-time lecturer and former Board member with Astrology Toronto, and in recent years also the SOTA Astrology Conference. Britanie LeClair
Britanie is a practicing astrologer, cosmological researcher and professional writer hailing from Sudbury, Ontario. She has an HBA in psychology from Laurentian University and is currently studying an MA in cultural astronomy and astrology at the University of Wales Trinity Saint David under the tutelage of world-renowned astrologers Nicholas Campion, Bernadette Brady, and Darrelyn Gunzburg. Alan Annand
Alan has a BA in Literature and a BSc in Math & Physics. He is a practicing astrologer and writer based in Toronto. A graduate of the American College of Vedic Astrology, and former tutor for the British Faculty of Astrological Studies, he is also the author of several non-fiction books, both in western astrology (Mutual Reception) and Vedic astrology (Kala Sarpa, Parivartana Yoga, and Stellar Astrology, Volumes 1 & 2). Vincent Godbout
Mathematician, mentalist, astrologer, and designer of the Mastro Astrological Software expert system, Vincent holds a certificate in college education, a B.A., and a B.Sc. in mathematics. From 1972 to 2006, he was a professor of mathematics. As a designer of the PERMAMA master's program of the Université du Québec, he co-authored three courses: Mathematics and Human Activity, Mathematical Contributions of Antiquity and Problem Solving. He is also the author of a French adaptation of the best seller Thomas and Finney's Differential and Integral Calculus. Quite passionate about astrology since 1976, in 1981 he becomes the owner of the astrological bookstore Nouvel Athanor where, in collaboration with Axel Harvey, he will be the first to offer computerized services to Montreal astrologers. Retired from teaching since 2006, he is involved in music, classical singing and he takes care of his mentalist career under the pseudonym of Mentalo. Shannon Rae
Shannon came to Astrology while completing her BSc in Math and Chemistry, finding equally relevant information held within the seemingly dichotomous disciplines. In addition to being a professional schoolteacher, Shannon is a longtime Steering Committee member of the Manitoba Astrology Association and an accredited teacher through the Canadian Association of Astrological Education. While teaching in central London, she studied with Frank Clifford at the London School of Astrology and is currently completing her Advanced Diploma through the Mayo School of Astrology under Wendy Stacey. Mj Patterson
Halifax Astrologer Mj Patterson CA NCGR-PAA began practicing Astrology in 1978 and has been professional since 1987. She has held executive posts with the Ottawa Astrological Society and was a co-founder of the Astrologers’ Registry of Ontario, with Jean Hirst and the grand old man of Canadian Astrology: Axel Harvey. Before moving from Canada to the UK in 2002, she correctly predicted the Hamm majority government against all polls at the time and won notable mention in Hansards, the official record of the Provincial Legislature. She returned to Canada in 2011 and has reestablished her professional practice and astrology teaching to certification both in real time and online. Mj is a founding Director of the Atlantic Professional Astrologers’ Association. Alex Trenoweth
Alex Trenoweth, MA (CAA), DFAstrolS, CIA Agent 144 is an astrological researcher and professional schoolteacher in London UK. In 2015, she was awarded the “International Astrologer of the Year” by the Krishnamurti Institute of Astrology (KIA) for her ground-breaking and innovative research on Astrology and Education based on her book “Growing Pains” Since then she has spoken at astrology conferences around the world and is a contributing writer to Dell Horoscope. In 2018, Alex was given an honorary PhD for her research as well as an award for "Outstanding Service to Astrology" by KIA. Lecture: The Growing Pains of Harry Potter
Franco
Franco is a Renaissance Man; mechanical engineer, parent, musician, athlete, astrologer, energy worker and Wiccan priest. His interests are held together by the common thread between all these interests. Franco has served Astrology Toronto in the past as secretary and vice president. He has spoken at various conferences in North America, Italy and India and been published in various publications including the Mountain Astrologer, Dell Horoscope and the Well Being Journal. He is currently the director of Alphee Lavoie’s Astrological Investigators, a group focused on research using statistical analyses in order to prove or disprove astrological phenomena. Chris McRae
Chris McRae has been a consultant, teacher, author, and lecturer since 1970. She has conducted workshops and lectured at most major astrological conferences throughout the world; including Russia, Europe, UK, South Africa, Israel, Turkey, Australia. Chris recently retired as ISAR Board Vice-President, Chair International Committee & Certification Program and she was appointed Emeritus Board member. UAC Regulus Award for Professional Image, ISAR Life Time Achievement Award, ISAR Special Award for Outstanding Service and Leadership. Chris has authored 4 books, and contributed to five. Gaisheda Kheawok
Gaisheda is a Tribal Clinical Psychotherapist and Peace Elder in the Seneca and Celtic traditions. She is on Faculty for the Canadian Association for Integrative Energy Therapies (CAIET) for over 10 years, and is a Member and Faculty of the Association for Comprehensive Energy Psychology (ACEP). Gaisheda is a practicing Shaman in the Celtic and Seneca traditions, and the Founder and Executive Director of The Whispering Song School of Energy Medicine, specializing in delivering a Shamanic psychoeducational professional development curriculum and programs. Geni Picazo
Geni is an Astrologer, Lecturer and Guided Meditation Facilitator. As an an energy worker, she specializes in energy balancing through healing guided meditations. She has been a practicing astrologer for more than 35 years. Geni hails from Wyoming, Ontario. I do consulting through SKYPE as well as face to face.
